Here is a fantastic color mixing lesson. This could be a great thing to fill up free time after lessons.
Thank you http://casamarias.blogspot.com/ for the fun post.
The children created abstract designs by squirting liquid watercolors all over paper towels.
We prefer to use glass containers, because one gets to experience the true colors of paint this way. BABY FOOD JARS are perfect paint containers! These jars are just the right size for children to hold and move around, while they are at work. At the same time, you get to recycle and reuse them.
Vibrant colors and the opportunity to create wild designs gave the children a fun way to learn color mixing.
Three layers later…Oh what fun!
